People.

The people behind the process. The thinking behind the outcomes.

We collaborate with developers, civic institutions, and progressive clients to deliver housing, healthcare, education, and civic spaces that work for people and systems.

We expand as needed through a trusted network of architects, engineers, and specialist teams. Every project gets the leadership it deserves.

Meet the team.

We’re a lean, international practice focused on design strategy and architectural delivery. Led by architect Tom Kenny and strategist Liz Francis, BOS Studio brings senior-level insight to every project — from early visioning through to operational handover.

  • Founder + Director
    RIBA, ARB, AIBC

Tom is the creative leader and governance strategist behind BOS Studio. With over 18 years of international experience in architecture, he has delivered projects across Canada, New Zealand, and the UK that range from civic centers to recreational facilities.

Tom is a registered architect in BC and the UK, known for his strategic, systems-based thinking – he approaches each project holistically, integrating design excellence with social, environmental, and operational goals. Notably, Tom has led complex, community-driven projects such as the Kaumātua Housing and the New Brighton Hot Pools redevelopment, both of which required extensive stakeholder engagement and innovative design to meet community objectives.

At BOS Studio, Tom champions early-stage visioning and collaborative design processes, ensuring that the firm’s work stays true to its mission of building purposeful, community-centric spaces.

Liz’s background includes managing multi-faceted projects in the civic, recreational, and housing sectors, where she has orchestrated feasibility studies and community consultations to drive consensus. For example, she guided engagement for the Whistler Olympic Park revitalisation and coordinated concept development for leisure attractions in Canada and abroad.

Liz ensures that every BOS Studio initiative is grounded in purpose, place, and practical delivery – from setting up governance frameworks to overseeing day-to-day project milestones. Her strength lies in aligning diverse groups around a common vision and implementing efficient systems so that bold ideas can become reality in a sustainable, well-managed way.

Work with us.

Our approach is grounded and adaptable. While every project is different, our role stays constant: bringing architectural thinking into every phase—from early visioning to operational delivery. We look for design and project management opportunities not just in buildings, but in policy, community priorities, environmental realities, construction methods, and long-term operations.

Our Commitment.

We acknowledge with gratitude that we live and work on the ancestral and unceded territories of the Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), Líl̓wat7úl (Lil’wat Nation), St’át’imc Nation, and N’Quatqua. These Nations have stewarded the lands and waters of the Sea to Sky corridor since time immemorial.

As a practice rooted in community, BOS Studio is committed to working in ways that honour the past, respect the present, and contribute to a more connected and equitable future. We recognize that true design leadership includes listening, learning, and showing up in relationship with the Indigenous communities whose territories we are privileged to live and work on.
