Education meets environment.
The Hill Academy Pacific brings a progressive independent school to the Sea-to-Sky corridor – pairing academics with high-performance sport in a campus designed for growth.
BOS Studio led master planning and early architecture to shape a site-responsive, phased campus that can scale to 400+ students while maintaining a strong relationship to the valley landscape. The plan organises learning studios, wellness and dining, multi-sport training, and student housing into connected precincts that keep daily movement simple and safe in a rural context.
We worked closely with the founders to translate values – Highest Achievement, Independent Thinking, Leadership, Legacy – into spatial DNA: clear sightlines, daylight-rich interiors, and durable, low-maintenance finishes suited to mountain life. The campus is both aspirational and pragmatic, ready to deliver a learning experience that belongs to Pemberton.
Modular growth with site intelligence.
Strategic design approach:
We combined modular timber construction with staged infrastructure to reduce first-cost and enable learning to start earlier. The framework zones utilities and services for expansion, limits cut/fill, and orients buildings for solar gain and snow management.
Governance deliverables – options testing, stakeholder alignment, and approvals strategy – de-risked the path to growth.
